Bankok English Speaking Ward

Nice to be in a normal church meeting in a country where we're allowed to talk about the Gospel.

Actually, there are Thai speaking wards, but this one was English speaking, so members were from Cambodia, India, England, USA, China, Ghana, etc.

The Gospel is so new in these countries that these people are pioneers. Touching stories of their faith. One man drove for two hours with his sons to get to church. One family fled their country because the father's life was threatened, one of their sons kidnapped, etc. He had to abandon his prosperous business and escape with his wife and children.

  1. Wondering about age of the branch. My brother served a mission in Bankok in 1980-82?? Elder Hepper from either Utah or South Dakota can't remember if he left from Provo or not. Loved this website--well done. Lots of Love and prayers to both of you. I am now teaching the 3 and 4 yr. olds in Primary. Jan Hardman

  2. Hi Jan!!
I don't remember details about the age of the Ward/Branch. Actually, the Thai members met separately from us. I don't remember details, numbers of wards, etc., but I remember thinking that the Church seemed to be thriving. Your brother was right there at the beginning!

The 3-4 year olds! My favorite age. Fun!
